POOLS
Water and electricity are a volatile mix, and any defective electrical systems in pools may lead to a serious risk of shock or electrocution. This includes both proper construction of the pool as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the pool and all the surrounding accessories. Keep these safety tips in mind:
- Make sure when building your in-ground or above-ground pool that ALL necessary electrical inspections are completed by the state electrical inspector.
- Ask to see the passed inspections prior to paying any invoices. A complete inspection of any pool should include a Rough-In Inspection and a Final Inspection.
- If an inspection fails, corrections must be made within 30 days, and a re-inspection is required.
