Watch FPU's Channel 6 Online!

Fayetteville Public Utilities is now expanding its local Channel 6 cable TV broadcasts through an online video streaming outlet via their web site.

"This is something many folks have been waiting for, and it may help bridge a small gap in certain areas where we currently do not offer cable TV service," says Britt Dye, FPU's CEO and general manager. "With the online connection to Channel 6, you may now have the ability to watch our local programming on your computer."

In recent weeks, FPU has added a link on their web site that airs both live and on-demand shows as recorded and produced by FPU. To view the local programs, log in to http://www.fpu-tn.com/ from a high-speed Internet connection anywhere and click on the Ch. 6 link at the left. You may also visit http://www.fputv.com/. Either site will allow you to view the programs.

A high-speed Internet connection is required to receive the online programming. With the high-speed connection, viewers can watch Ch. 6 at home or anywhere across the US as long as they have a high-speed Internet connection.

"As technology changes, we will look at other options for expanding our cable services," says Dye, "but for now, adding Channel 6 online will help keep our non-cable customers informed of local happenings with FPU's assistance."

FPU officials suggest visiting Channel 6 online regularly for new shows are added often that highlight local government meetings, community events and interviews with your friends and neighbors.
